While it is a full year planner, the Leuchtturm1917 weekly diary's lightweight stature and portable size coupled with its streamlined finish provides organised and positive vibes for anyone looking to keep their lives in check! This is something I especially love, as not only does it provide the physical assets I need to help me plan my schedule; but imparts a feeling of organisation and structure. Unlike most planners that only come with one or two bookmarks, Leuchtturms now bear two - which comes in especially handy in a diary whose length is doubled with one plain ruled page for each week. Its thin line ruling allows for a long and expressive entry alongside the adjacent planning pages, should you need it! The paper's gsm is 80 - observe this alongside Moleskine's 72gsm and Rhodia's 90gsm and its easy to see it's a pleasant middle ground capable of handling most pens (including fountain pens!) and staying as sleek as possible. If you highly prioritise a smaller sized diary or thick sturdy paper, other brands will tip the scales either way for you.
While changes have been made to these diaries in the last couple of years, I welcome it. It shows the product is evolving, just like people do. I'm very impressed with this lovely little planner and am looking forward to trying out the 2020 version!
